Chaplain Hall has a background of over 25 years of ministry experience and she is devoted to equipping chaplains and churches with the necessary resources for supporting law enforcement. Her mission is to foster connections while providing comprehensive training. By promoting an understanding of the unique challenges faced by law enforcement and their families, she aims to offer innovative ideas that will empower chaplains and churches to provide effective support. This passion stems from a deep-rooted belief in loving one another as Jesus loved us.

Equipping for Trauma, Crisis, and Critical Incidents:
Rich delivers wellness training on Critical Incident Stress to various disciplines,
equipping individuals and groups to better serve Law Enforcement Communities.
In 2018, Rich Elias retired as a Lead Firearms and Tactics Instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Charleston, SC, capping a 24-year federal service tenure primarily as a United States Probation Officer in the Northern District of Illinois, Chicago. Throughout his law enforcement career, Rich specialized in firearms, defensive tactics, mental health, and trauma management, later delving into Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) following a colleague's tragic suicide in 2009. Since then, promoting wellness within the first responder community and beyond has been his paramount focus, marked by the publication of articles on CISM Peer Support and the establishment of his consulting business, Elias Consulting, LLC, in 2018.
As a certified instructor through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) since 2012, Rich has developed CISM policies and procedures for numerous federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, serving as Coordinator for CISM Teams at both FLETC in Charleston, SC, and in the Northern District of Illinois.
Through Chaplains and Heroes, he extends his expertise to provide wellness training on Critical Incident Stress Management, Peer Support, Grief, and Suicide to a diverse array of disciplines. He also serves as a law enforcement chaplain and trainer for the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team's Strategic Chaplain Ministry in Charlotte, North Carolina, offering emotional and spiritual care to law enforcement personnel in the aftermath of disasters. Rich and his wife, Melissa, call Westerville, Ohio, home.

Assisting Individuals in Crisis ( ICISF Certified Instructor)
Crisis Intervention is NOT psychotherapy; rather, it is a specialized acute emergency mental health intervention which requires specialized training. As physical first aid is to surgery, crisis intervention is to psychotherapy. Thus, crisis intervention is sometimes called “emotional first aid”. This program is designed for teach participants the fundamentals of, and a specific protocol for, individual crisis intervention.
This course offers core knowledge for anyone involved in Peer Support and crisis intervention.
Assisting Individuals in Crisis ( ICISF Certified Instructor)
Designed to present the core elements of a comprehensive, systematic and multi-component crisis intervention curriculum, the Group Crisis Intervention course will prepare participants to understand a wide range of crisis intervention services. Fundamentals of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) will be outlined and participants will leave with the knowledge and tools to provide several group crisis interventions, specifically demobilizations, defusings and the Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD). The need for appropriate follow-up services and referrals when necessary will also be discussed. This course offers core knowledge for anyone involved in Peer Support and crisis intervention.
